Watamu National Park is found in north coast. It is enclosed by the Malindi Marine National Reserve .Habitats include intertidal rock, sand and mud, fringing reefs and coral gardens, coral cliffs, sandy beaches and the Mida Creek mangrove forest. Marine life attractions include turtles, dugongs, fish, and crabs. The Mida Creek forest has a high diversity of mangrove species including Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Avicennia marina, Ceriops tagal, Rhizophora mucronata, and Sonneratia alba. There are a lot of bird species both migrant and resident

From Mombasa you take Mombasa Malindi road and branch at Gede to Watamu .

By Air :You land at Malindi and head to Watamu 28 km

ABUNDANT BIRD LIFE

Birds numbering to over 100 are found in the cultivated gardens.Commonly seen overhead is the White-Browed Coucal the Black Kite, whilst the Common Bulbul,and Speckled Mousebird can be seen scuffling in the undergrowth. Golden Palm Weavers and Bright Yellow Canaries flash in the bush, whilst the Lizard Buzzard and the Lilac Breasted Roller are often seen perched on poles and wires.
