Serena Mountain Tree Lodge

Serena Mountain Lodge; Serena Mountain Lodge is set within the Forest Reserve Area of the Mount Kenya National Park, 193 Kilometers Northeast of Nairobi – approximately 2 ½ hours drive and 480 Kilometers from the Kenyan Coast. The nearest towns are Nyeri (42 Kilometers) and Nanyuki (73 Kilometers).

Serena Mountain Lodge is located in primeval forests of Kenya’s highest mountain; Mount Kenya. The Hotel is actually a timber tree hotel which offers champagne-clear mountain air, sweeping views across the tree-canopy, sparkling trout streams, and gentle forest walks.

Serena Mountain Lodge is situated at 2,134 metres above sea level, on the lower slopes of the mountain, the lodge is cool, tranquil and hushed for optimum game-sightings. The open-air viewing-deck looks down on to the water hole and salt-lick, which attracts numerous herds of elephant and buffalo.

There is a tunnel leading to a photo-hide, which offers spectacular viewing and photographic opportunities just metres away from the wildlife at the water hole.

Serena Mountain Lodge activities include guided walks through the forest, trout fishing in the clear mountain streams, trips to the high moorlands of the mountain, and 5-day luxury climbs of the mountain. Mount Kenya (5,199 m) is Kenya’s highest mountain and the sacred home of Ngai, God of the Kikuyu people.

Naro Moru River Lodge

The Lodge is the base for climbing Mt. Kenya. The lodge ias set in beautiful tropical gardens along the banks of the Naro Moru River, fed by the snows of Mount Kenya and is well stocked with brown & rainbow trout.

The location is one of the finest ornithological sites in Kenya with an exceptional variety of bird life. It is located at 2,155 meters ( 7,100 ft), tucked into the side of Mount Kenya, 16 km south of the Equator, in a 10-hectare (20-acre), stream-fed enclave of peace and serenity.

Naro Moru River Lodge consists of 19 deluxe cottages with 2 double beds, Toilet and Bathroom and fireplace with sitting room area all elegantly furnished in pine 12 standard cottages with double and single beds and separate bathroom and toilet 12 self-service cottages with varying sizes geared to the family holiday
