Discover Kilimanjaro, The Great Rift Valley & The Famous Masai mara
Amboseli National Park Amboseli National Park, in southern Kenya is known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. Observation Hill offers panoramas of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. The western section is dominated by vast Lake Amboseli, which is dry outside the rainy season.
Lake Naivasha, Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake on floor of the Rift Valley, 90 kilometers North West of Nairobi. It is a haven of birds with over45o species recorded, and hippos best viewed while on a boat ride. Other attractions nearby include Hells’ Gate National Park, Crescent Island. Day excursions can be arranged to Lake Nakuru National park, Lake Elementaita and hiking to Mt. Longonot National park. Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge is located on the shores of the lake with zebra, Giraffe, Colobus Monkeys all roaming the resort’s grounds.
Masai Mara Reserve is world-renowned for its exceptional populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs and elephant, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, Thomson’s gazelle and other antelope, to and from the Serengeti every year known as the Great Migration. It is considered as the 7th wonder of the world.
Safari Itinerary
DAY 1 – AMBOSELI
On arrival at Jkia, depart for Amboseli (250 km – approximately 4 hours). After lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive. Overnight: Oltukai Lodge. (Meals included: Lunch and Dinner)
DAY 2 – AMBOSELI
An early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. Later, take an afternoon game drive. Overnight: Oltukai Lodge. (Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
DAY 3 – LAKE NAIVASHA
After breakfast drive to Lake Naivasha in time for lunch (350 km – approximately 5 hours). The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. (Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
DAY 4 – MASAI MARA
Depart early for your journey to the Masai Mara Game Reserve (270 km – approximately 5 hours 30 minutes). Afternoon game drive. Overnight: Ashnil Mara Camp. (Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
DAY 5 – MASAI MARA
Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge, or take an early morning balloon flight over the Mara followed by a ‘bubbly’ bush breakfast (optional extra). Later take an afternoon game drive. Overnight: Ashnil Mara Camp. (Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
DAY 6 – EXTENSION OR HOME
