October 2019 Kenya Airways Update


Kenya Airways at the launch of Northern winter 2019/20 timetable plans to adjust services for Geneva and Rome. From 27 OCT 19, the airline will operate 4 weekly Nairobi – Geneva – Rome – Nairobi routing, instead of 2 weekly and 2 weekly in opposite direction. Boeing 787-8 aircraft operates this route.

Dates for November 2019 East Africa Safari Classic Rally Confirmed


2019 sees the ninth edition of the world famous East African Safari Classic Rally. Taking place from November 27 to December 6. The endurance race is typically organized in November every two years and attracts top stars of the sport globally as well as those keen on glamour and wilderness.

Several stages are held in some of East Africa’s most famous wildlife preserves and the event also partners with local agencies to support conservation. The Safari Classic Rally is unique in the world. No other event allows competitors to truly test the limits of historic rallying by racing flat-out for thousands of kilometres through the breathtaking grandeur of East Africa.

Conservation – Plastic Ban


The Kenyan President has announced ban on single-use plastics in all our protected areas, including national parks, beaches, forests and conservation areas. The ban of plastics bottles, straws, and related products in the protected areas shall be effective from 4thJune 2020. The ban underlines the government’s commitment in managing the plastic pollution menace.
