Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare
Itinerary: Depart Nairobi at 08.00hrs (pick up is at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages) transfer by road to the Aberdare Country Club, and arrive in time for lunch. After lunch drive to the Ark Lodge. Afternoon at leisure.
Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, is iconic and quirky. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Modeled after Noah’s Ark, The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you.

Day 2: Samburu
Itinerary: After breakfast, enjoy a fascinating drive North through constantly changing landscapes to Samburu, arriving in time for lunch. The Uaso Nyiro river, Samburu’s life support system, attracts plenty of wildlife as it meanders slowly through Acacia trees and Doum palms. Evening game drive at Buffalo Springs Reserve.

Located north of Kenya, approximately 350 kilometers from Nairobi is the Samburu Ecosystem comprising of Samburu National Reserve, Buffalo springs reserve, and Shaba National Reserve. The attitude here ranges from800 m to 1230 m above sea level. Several large game species unique to the Northern part of Kenya are found here. This includes an oryx, gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, and Grevy’s Zebra. Over 350 bird species have been recorded here
Day 03: Samburu
Morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. After lunch proceeds on a late afternoon game drive.

Day 04: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast at Ashnil Samburu Camp, depart to Sweetwater’s Serena Camp, Arrival in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive with a visit to the Chimpanzee sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Serena Sweet waters Camp.

With 90,000 acres of wilderness, Olpejeta Conservancy is home to one of Kenya’s largest populations of Black Rhino. Others include elephant, cheetah, lion, leopard, African wild dog, and plentiful plains game. There are also a number of the rarer Northern species such as Grevy’s Zebra, Jackson’s Hartebeest, and Beisa Oryx. The Conservancy lies on the Equator and is only a 30 minutes drive from Nanyuki airstrip. The Conservancy affords wonderful views of Mt Kenya. Here you can also get a chance to visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary
Day 05: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
An early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. After lunch proceeds on a late afternoon game drive.

Day 06: Lake Naivasha
After breakfast drive to Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, go for a one-hour boat ride at Lake

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake on the floor of the Rift Valley, 90 kilometers North West of Nairobi. It is a haven of birds with over 450 species recorded, and hippos are best viewed while on a boat ride. Other attractions nearby include Hells’ Gate National Park and Crescent Island. Day excursions can be arranged to Lake Nakuru National park, Lake Elementaita, and hiking to Mt. Longonot National park. Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge is located on the shores of the lake with zebra, Giraffe, and Colobus Monkeys all roaming the resort’s grounds
Day 07: Masai Mara
After an early breakfast, carry picnic lunch boxes and drive to the world-famous Masai Mara Game reserve/Mara North Conservancy, enjoy a game drive en route. Dinner and overnight at the Ashnil Mara Camp.

Day 08: Masai Mara
An early morning balloon safari over the Mara (optional extra) or take an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. After lunch proceeds on a late afternoon game drive.

Day 09: Depart
After breakfast return to Nairobi, with a picnic lunch en route. Thereafter proceed with your chosen extension or return home.
